Daniel Griswold is a mostly retired Washington trade and immigration policy wonk who spends his time reading, hiking, and serving the Lord as best he can. He and his wife Elizabeth are currently traveling the country in an RV, visiting family and friends and savoring the culture and natural beauty of this great country of ours. In a four-decade career, Dan worked on Capitol Hill, in the daily newspaper business, and for the Cato Institute, the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones, and the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, where he remains a senior affiliated scholar. He authored the 2009 book, Mad about Trade: Why Main Street America Should Embrace Globalization. He majored in journalism at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and earned a masters in the Politics of the World Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He blogs regularly at DanielGriswold.net and tweets less frequently @danielgriswold.
